I knew this house had potential…I mean I liked sponge painting too…in the 90’s! A can of paint is the cheapest and most dramatic change you can make to a room. Watch…I can prove it!
I just changed out the drawer pulls. Primed the bathroom and then painted it “Ocean Dream”…the same as my dining room. In the bathroom, the color looks more gray. Then used what I had to accessorize. Vintage pics of Hawaii, candles and a photo of our fam at the beach. I still want to hang something by the sink/lamp. I covered the lamp shade in burlap. I also want to put a frame around the mirror like Rhoda did here. And I’ve been debating about painting the cabinet black. Also, I need to change out the light fixture…thought about painting it black for the interim. I’m loving it right now, it makes me feel very calm.
THis looks great!! And I love the idea of covering the lampshade in burlap. Cute! What kind of glue/adhesive did you use?
I painted my 2 white cabinets in the downstairs bath black–and love them. I used two fat glass pulls from Hobby Lobby.
I am really loving that color. This fall, I feel a redo on the master bath coming on!!
Hugs,
Susan
It turned out beautifully! Love the new color.
My mother in law LOVES the apron you monogrammed for her! Hope you make more soon.:) Lori
What a beautiful color for a bathroom! I think the colors sparks feelings of serenity and in our crazy world, sometimes the bathroom is the only place we find that! Looks great!
It does make a difference – so does decluttering!
I love that color!!! Is it a Behr color??
What a great change!!
Ok, I just read your post about your dining room, you got it at Lowe's. I will have to check that out. I love that color!!
Have a good weekend!

That's amazing! Love your color choice! I think the cabinets would look wonderful painted black.
I love it! Beautiful!
I love that! It looks so peaceful and calm. I love all the little black touches and that you used vintage Hawaiian pics- so cool!

Wow. I love a great re-do. Thanks for sharing your ideas. Laura@the mansion
It looked great before, love the glass urn and greenhouse, but removing the extra stuff and the new paint looks gorgoeus!
I just found your blog and wanted to say hi, it is just too adorable! And I love the progress you have made on your house! I have always wanted to buy a house to renovate it 🙂
Great makeover. I like the cabinet white but then I'm a white fanatic. I also have a couple of those mirrors that need molding (frames) around them!
Wow- what a difference. I love the paint color you used. So restful and fresh!

I wanted to mention that you can spray paint the brass light fixture if you want. I just spray painted some brass fixtures here, and I love the way they look.
