So I found a place in the ninth hour for our slipcover class. It will be Saturday, February 26th. 10-4. Lunch will be provided. The class is being held in Garner, NC at Heather Hills.
Basic Requirements:
- Basic Sewing Skills (you must have a machine, be able to operate it and bring it with you to the class).
- Also, bring necessary sewing tools…scissors, thread, pins…etc…chocolate!
- Bring a piece of furniture that you can easily transport yourself.
- Have your fabric pre-washed and ready to cut.
- Registration is $100 per person.
You will leave with a newly slipped piece of furniture to brag about to all your friends, a skill they will all be envious of, a full tummy and a new friend in moi. What more could you ask for?
How to register: Email me with Slipcover Class in the subject line and tell me…
- Your sewing skills…
- The piece of furniture you are bringing to slipcover.
- Where you are from?
Then I will invoice you through paypal for your registration. I can only accept 10 students at a time. So this is a first come first served basis. Yay! Can’t wait!
I am a new follower to your site and would love if this class were videotaped!
Great idea about the video, you could sell it to those of us not living in your area.
🙂
If only I lived closer. I love the idea of video taping the class.

Video…YES!!!! I would gladly pay for that!
Think about it.

Oh Gosh! What I wouldn't give to be able to come! Have fun everyone!
I totally agree about doing a video for us out of state ones! I would do that!!
Wish I could do this, but I have to work this weekend. A video would be awesome!
Pink really IS the slipcover whisperer–she taught me at the Nester's and I most highly recommend her class!
And she's gonna feed you, it's a no brainer!
HI, I am not sure how I got to you, you know hop from one blog to the other LOL Your name caught my attention, I am The Polka Dot Closet, I love slip covers, so I am your newest follower. I won't be missing any more posts and have a slip cover I would love to link up to your next party
Nice to meet you!
Carol
Don't I wish that I could make it but I'm in Arkansas. Although a video would be helpful, I'm the kinda girl that needs my teacher hovering over me until I feel confident! I followed your guide and slipcovered a chair and got further than before. Although I got compliments on it, to me it was a hot mess. I ripped it all out. Ok, now I'm whining.
I wish I lived close enough to attend. Would you know anyone in the TX area that offers classes?
ok. you guys are so funny! i never considered making a video, but if you want one…i'll see what i can do.
A class sounds fun! Especially the chocolate part.
I know you've already found a spot but did you ever consider your local library? My mom meets at hers every month with her quilting quild.
I just stumbled up on this post and am so glad I did! I live in Raleigh and would love to attend. I don't think I could pull everything together by this saturday though. Do you think you'll offer other local classes in the future?
Just found your blog! Oh my, where have you been all my life? I'm so excited to read more. I slipcover all the time but I'm self taught and do no-nos all the time. So excited!

I wish I lived closer too! I'm in the middle of making not one, but TWO slipcovers – my first ever (I'm an overachiever, what can I say) and probably my last 2 ever. I even bought the e-book! I've been looking through all the slipcover parties and why is no one posting their ugly slipcovers? Everyone sews so well and neatly and my covers so far look like they were sewn by a blindfolded monkey.
