I was sick of that big eyeball (TV) staring at me in the face! Before this house, we didn’t have a big fat TV hole…so I used an armoire & could close the doors to the TV & clutter. We moved into this house and my husband said our old TV left TOO MUCH space in the ‘hole.’ I think it was just an excuse to buy a bigger TV. Anyhow…I thought about a mirror (too heavy) a painted canvas (never did)…I wanted something light that we could move easily.
So, I was thrifting & found these…a set of 4 shutters for $4 bucks! And they were already painted green. I didn’t do anything to them except dust ’em a little.
My girlfriend made the wood sign for me…she has a router & everything. I found the quote in a Berenstain Bears book. “SEASHORE” ‘calms the spirit ~ restores the soul. Isn’t she so talented!
Looks so much better…don’t cha think? I love it!
See that yucky little dingy floral armchair down in the left corner? That is next on my “to do” list. Some of you have been asking about the slipcovers I made. I will try to show you, to the best of my ability, how I slipcover that nasty little chair in white cotton duck. Do you cover up your big TV hole? How?
