Leather Sofa Slipcover
I get asked…on a weekly basis, if a leather sofa can be slipped. I, personally, have never slipcovered leather furniture. When I saw this post, I was absolutely wowed! It’s one of the most amazing slipcover transformations I’ve seen. I stumbled upon this blog months ago and I’ve been meaning to feature her. Her name is Edith and she’s a crafty, creative chic who blogs at Edee Nut.
I absolutely love how real she is…this picture is how my house looks on a daily basis minus the cutie pie boy. Isn’t the transformation jaw-dropping. Go check out the rest of her cute blog!
If you have made your own slipcover, I’d love to feature you! Just email me a pic!
Wow… she is SUPER talented and did an amazing job! And I have always answered “no” to the slipcover-over-leather question. Not so worried about the cushions as the overall body of the couch.
I've made slips, but I will never say I am good at them. Right now I'm making a new set of slipcovers for the seats in my car.
What a great slipcover and makeover !
Kristi, You are too kind!
Thank you for featuring my couch cover. It is doable and totally worth the time and pain put into covering a couch.
That before picture makes me laugh because I totally forgot what the ugly couch looked like before… plus it is such a mess because it is Christmas morning! heeeheee, stuff everywhere.
i love your blog and think I'll be hanging out here from now on. 🙂
~Edith
What a great slipcover! I have a slipcovered leather couch, too. I didn't make it because I don't have those mad sewing skills (yet!) but a local seamstress did it, and I just love my couch now. No more cold leather in the winter time!
I slipcovered my two leather club chairs and they turned out great. A little trickier because the leather is slippery to work with, but it can be done!
I divided my how-to into 2 posts:
