Did you guess? Oh and just in case you’re living under a rock or busy with your real life, he’s on Oprah today! I’m recording it because I have to walk to the bus stop when it comes on. Dang buses!
**Don’t forget about the slipcover linky party tomorrow!
happy birthday to Rob!
Carrie,
do you think he'll surprise us at our house…like he did all those other families? maybe i should go take a shower.
A hunk a hunk of burnin' love:)
Oh man, wish I could get a hold of tv to see him today! That would make my day & night..lol
Oh golly – that is a fabulous picture 🙂
Love your blog … love your ideas 🙂
But …
I have to say (and I totally understand if you don't want to publish my comment) that it is truly perplexing when I see fellow Christian women who are married, make such a display over another man … a man who is not their husband.
Laying aside all that the culture has approved as acceptable and trendy, I cannot help but be both burdened and confused by the “crushing” on celebrity men. Or any man for that matter.
I can't imagine my husband professing such adoration for a young single girl (famous or not). I know that the nature of this sort of thing is always viewed as “harmless” or “fun” but I struggle to see how this behavior is affirming to our husbands and greater still affirming to our devotion to scripture.
Looking at any other man other than my husband with adoration of this kind seems like a slippery slope. I have read your posts over the last couple of years regarding the Twilight books and movies and never posted because it felt like none of my business. Today, I just felt truly convicted, from one believer to another, to share with love and hope that this is received with the respect I hope I have conveyed.
Blessings!
Kim
Totally recording Oprah.
Oh wait, I always record it. I love what Kim said {and especially the kind and gentle way that she said it and signed her name–you go Kim!} and loved that you kept it published, as I knew you would.
I just started reading the books last week and I've never heard Edward or whatever his real name is in an interview and I'm looking forward to it. I live in a cave.
I think my cave must be further up the mountain or further down, I don't even know who he is!
I love and respect what Kim wrote too!!!
And I love slipcovers and wish I had my done! ugh!!!!!!!!!!
Is he drinking Rolling Rock?! 33!
Swoon! I'd love to fork him…I meeeaannn give him a fork for his lobster 😉
Oh man — I missed it! Your slipcover party sounds fun! I will stop by and see all of the talent!
XOOX
