With Cute Baskets
I was at IKEA this past weekend and got 4 baskets to put above my stove. My friend did this and it was such a cute cottage look. I measured the space in my cabinets to make sure I would get the right size baskets. I think they were $5 or $5.99/each.
With Cabinet Doors
Without Cabinet doors…showing all the mess.
My cabinets just unlatch. I still need to remove the hardware on the inside. But, it makes such a difference to me. It feels more like my cottage home! I’m, also, thinking of painting the back wall of the cabinets. I.hate.that.toaster.oven. It’s gross and yucky, but we use it all the time OR I’d shove it in a cabinet.
That looks great! I have a toaster oven that is rusty and old, but still works. Oh well..keepin' it real. 🙂

Love the baskets, it really pops!
Oh! I love the baskets.
A tip for the toaster oven, if you really do want it off the counter…buy an inexpensive cookie sheet and put it on top. It will make putting it away and pulling it out easier and will catch all the crumbs.
I love your quick little makeover!
I like the realness of the rusty toaster

Function (toaster oven) over Fashion! Plus it kinda matches the lamp. I like the redo 🙂

Hi…I just found your blog and I love it, just became a follower too. The cabinet redo is perfect. I love the baskets. One quick fix for your toaster is to buy a bigger basket that matches the others up above and turn it upside down over the toaster. Turn the basket on a diagonal in the corner, put a little plant on it and you're good to go. Just make sure you UNPLUG it after every use and it cools down. Might be better to use the basket just when company comes over.
Thanks for all the great inspiration,
Ok, so I think if you use it all the time, it might be worth a splurge to go get one of those kinda retro looking stainless steel toaster ovens. I've seen 'em at Walmart or Target. It would just be a prettier version of what you already use and need. Maybe for a birthday? (I picked my coffe maker based totally on how it looked without thought to how well it brewed coffee. Lucky for me, it does a pretty good job, just a bit slow. Oh well…)
I love your baskets in that cupboard. I just may have to give you the sincerest form of flattery, and copy you! My cupboard in that spot is very small, and would only fit one basket on each side, but I think it would look awesome!

I have a cottage kitchen with glass cabinets and not a whole lot of storage, but I keep my toaster on a wooden tray and put in on a lower shelf when I'm not using it. I love how nice your cabinets look with the baskets!

new to your blog…love the new cottage look in your kitchen..looks REALLY great!
What a great transformation for not a lot of money or work! My advice (even though you didn't ask for it): Leave the toaster oven where it is. Any decorative thing you try to do to it will make it less functional and accessible to your family. I think it looks fine where it is!

Love the baskets! Very cottage like! I would absolutely paint the back wall of the cabinets… it would look great!

I linked ya!
Love the baskets. I have that exact same toaster oven. Mine looks gross too. I keep hoping it will die so I can get a new one.

How cute! And easy, at that. Why don't you make a slipcover for the toaster oven?!? 🙂
