I’m in the process of sprucing up my sewing room / studio. This is my most current project…a DIY inspiration board. I got the frame from a friend while helping her move (Help people move…it’s nice. AND you can score some cool stuff.) I was going to paint the frame, but decided against it because I kinda like the gold patina and I am lazy. I had the twine…purchased from wmart. I bought a pack of clothespins at Dollar Tree. You can click on the picture to see it larger.
This was the simplest project…and I kept thinking I’d find some cute bulletin board or make one. I didn’t and I needed a place over my cutting table in a quick way. So out came this. Use what you have…ribbon or curtain rings. You could use paper clips to attach stuff to the twine. Be resourceful and look around your house. I’m sure you could make one right now.
My next studio project is to slipcover this puke-y green office chair. Stay tuned! I was inspired by Bellamere Cottage. Go look at hers’…it’s gorgeous! Mine will not be as fancy…because I am lazy.

I kinda like the puke-y green chair! 🙂
Love the picture frame idea!
Ahhh…..thanks for the compliment! It's really not that hard……just be sure to cut your main pattern a bit bigger than your chair. I don't generally use a pattern, I fit it to the chair as I go, but this one just seemed easier to do that way. Go for it! It's fun……………..No problem with the photo…..I'm tickled to see my efforts featured. 🙂
Great idea for the bulletin board….I'm making my curtain panels next….they'll be dupioni silk and I thought I'd have plenty of fabric left for a bulletin board above my little desk, but that didn't happen….Darn it all.
Thanks for coming!
Warm blessings,
Spencer

That chair cover is super cute! What a clever “cover” for a comfy office chair. I can't wait to see your lazy girl version, because I'm lazy too!
Your DIY inspiration board is very cute! Love that slipcover for the desk chair. I really need one of those for my basic office chair.
Love the board–you should link it up :)!
Cute Board! Can't wait to see what you do with the chair.
Cuteness, I love this and how useful. I am so glad you shared it.

Very cool-love them both!
I love the picture frame idea! I've been trying to find a good way to display my littles artwork…and I think you're on to something!
Love the picture frame idea. Can't wait to see what you do with the chair.
LOVE the frame memo board! I made a very similar one in February too 🙂 I'm loving it for rotating photos….so easy to switch them up!

I just happened upon this post of yours. I just completed a similar frame project but I did paint my frame and I used raffia-covered floral wire instead of twine and decoupaged by clothespins:
