Exploring the snowy woods behind our home…nature walk…a.k.a. science, because even though it snows and everyone else is out of school…we will do school. We will not be making up snow days in June!
of course…snow angels…art! What would a day be without snow angels?
And the meticulously placed chocolate chips on the whipped cream topping the hot chocolate! Math…”you have to COUNT the number of chocolate chips you put on your hot chocolate.” Now, the girls are out playing with the neighbor kids..P.E. I’m feelin‘ a crafting bug coming on…what’s a girl to do when locked in her home with her sewing machine?
Seeing the hot cocoa and snow makes me want to curl up with some hot cocoa and either read a good book or watch a good movie. 🙂
hate me I tried to email you but it bounced back. I’m a dork.>>when you get a chance shoot me an email please.>>thanks girl! keep warm!
I am beyond jealous! I just posted on my blog about how disappointed we were with today’s forecast which was “supposed” to include snow 🙁>>It did not.>>Homeschooling snow days are the best!
I am jealous. Living in the south we never see snow. Today it flurried off and on all day. It melted as soon as it hit the ground.>>Today is my 100th post and I am hosting a giveaway!
How fun!!!We missed the snow in upstate SC! Bummer–the kids really wanted another day of fun! >>I love your blog! I found it through google!! I was looking for a way to create a slipcover w/o spending a fortune! Loved your tutorial. I’m trying it!! Just started cutting–I picked up some dummy fabric to see what would happen before I spent the real $$. Wish that you were nearby and could run over and give me advice as I snip, snip , snip!! >>Blessings,>Susan
It’s fun to have a hot chocolate, in a snow day with the name Hawaii in it!!!!!!>lol….>Great pic!
Hi – I love your blog! I’ve never left a comment before, but when you talked about snow, I’m confused – your profile says you live in North Carolina. Do you actually get snow there?>Looks like you all enjoyed it! Hot chocolate is always fun for the little ones!
Can’t wait to see what the crafting bug gives you while you’re stuck inside! My mom got 5 inches today!!>>-Hayley
Sounds like a fun and educational day!!! Hope your sewing was as productive as the girls. Can’t wait to see what you did.
I want to go to school at your house!
LOL!! You really are getting into homeschooling! Looks like you guys had a great “educational” day!
Your top picture of your kids in the snow is great…so cute!
