…and taking my cue from the nester , with a little fabric…I have a cute, fresh new lampshade!

Here’s a closer look at the lampshade! I just wanted to show you this great dresser I found at a thrift store! Forty bucks & a coat of white paint…and tahdah! If you look too closely, you’ll notice that one of the drawer pulls doesn’t match. No one even notices unless I tell them…like I just told you!

I began life as a homemaker working to make the $$ for the things I wanted for my house. Then my hubby and I had a honeymoon surprise pregnancy and I learned very quickly to make do with cast-offs and rummage sale finds. One needs a good eye for this sort of thing– there's just not much we can do with an ugly Brady Bunch seventies style end table with a moulded plastic door and huge knob, you know what I mean? But furniture like this dresser looks great with a fresh coat of white paint. After being married for 26 years, I have a more generous budget, but I still love to find furniture like you have, and make it sparkle. (This kind of ingenuity also makes it possible to spend more time with your kids). Good eye, and good job, your home looks very warm and welcoming!
