Of course…you should all of a sudden decide to paint a dresser when your kids and friends are home playing wii…jumping up and down to “Dance Dance Revolution.” Why not?

You always want to risk the fact that they might accidentally rub up on the paint. BTW…they didn’t.
Remember this dresser? It started out in my daughter’s room…then in the bonus room…now it’s downstairs in the living room. I think I’m going to make it my husband’s go to spot. So, I don’t have to keep looking at his junky papers all over the kitchen counter. I painted it a light gray and DON’T love it. I’m going to add some turquoise cabana stripes to it. And if I hate that…I’ll just paint the entire piece turquoise. I heart paint! What have you painted lately?
I heart paint too! If you don't like one color there's always a gazillion other choices! I seem to paint while the herd is around also. Maybe the noise keeps us going!

Oh wow, you are brave! I painted the oldest little's nightstand and dresser recently, but waited until he was at camp for a week and even then I moved it to the garrage. I think stripes would look great! Seems like painting furniture inside is all the rage lately, I'm probably going to have to try it…soon 🙂
Gorgy color…I love it!
You are a crazy woman:-)!! I wish I had half the energy you have. Can't wait to see your finished product.
I so love that first picture. Everything about it. I love it.
Have fun painting!
My husband and I are just about finished with our very first furniture painting project! I got a free quart of paint from Glidden in Country House Blue and we painted a $5 garage sale night stand and an old dresser he has had since he was a kid. I cannot wait to finish up the dresser and put the new handles on. And the paint color turned out so cute! We're addicted. 🙂
It's so funny you posted this today. I'm going hunting for a dresser tomorrow and plan on painting it with all my littles running around. You have encouraged me to go for it!
I LOVE the greenish color! It's gorgeous. I'm about to take on a dresser myself! Can't wait!
I painted a dresser for my daughter's room… after the one I ordered didn't arrive after months and months of waiting! And I painted it three weeks postpartum! Go me! Can't wait to see the stripes!
Nice!
If I didn't do things with the little ones home things would never get done, lol. I'm currently working on the master bedroom furniture, but next I want to do my 5 year old's dresser with some blackboard paint!
I'm contemplating on painting my daughters dresser. What kind of paint do you use? Is it just standard wall paint?
I just dragged a dresser similar to that one out of my daughters room…to be painted after they go to bed tonight. My kids are too young to know to keep out of the paint. It's black but will be painted creamy white, then distressed/antiqued. I will remove the top drawers and slide baskets in, and voila, it will be a home for our TV.
I am painting in my livingroom these days too! Easier than running back and forth from the garage while the kids are home for the summer
LOL so glad to see I am not the only one that would paint a dresser in the middle of a room full of children! Love it!
