Turquoise Furniture

I’m dying over this turquoise farm table! Sorry…I don’t know who to credit this photo. If you do, please let me know.

I don’t know if it’s being house bound by snow and ice or what…but I’m about to go all turquoise on something in my house. Last year, I painted my coffee table and I’m thinking about painting this hutch the same color.

Have you painted anything turquoise?

  1. It's my favorite color to paint furniture! I've done multiple pieces in the same shade. I've seen the first photo before . I'm not sure where it came from either.

  2. I haven't yet, but I've been daydreaming of a farmtable with a lime washed top and weathered turquoise legs.

I think I'm a little hesitant because I worry about choosing the right shade and getting the effect that I'm looking for.

    I love turquoise. 🙂

  3. I haven't painted any furniture with turq yet but I have done some accessories. I do really like that color right now. I love painting furniture and haven't done it in a while. I may need to visit Goodwill for something new….

  4. love turquoise! i painted an old chair turquoise…its shown on my blog in several rooms since i'm always moving it around 🙂 great color!

  5. Girl, our entire bedroom is turquoise!

Honestly, it is a bit much. But when you convince your husband to take the Tiffany's little blue box into the Home Depot and have it scanned for color match, you DO NOT complain about the color once he finishes painting. Amen.

  6. I just came across your blog, and your insights into home improvement, DIY projects, and overall design are very interesting. Your article about turquoise furniture was especially interesting. I really liked your comments on how the brightness of one piece of turquoise furniture can bring personality and color to any room. I am adding you to my favorites. 7. I painted a lamp turquoise (you can find it on my blog). I love the color, but I have a lot of color in my house. A whole lot, which I love. but i was hesitant to do a big piece of furniture turquoise, so I added it in as a punch color with the lamp.

  8. When Glidden was giving away free pints of paint by mail, I ordered a color called “Caribbean Sea” (turquoise) & painted/distressed my coffee table. Looks gorgeous & really adds color to the room; since then I've added sheer turquoise curtains which really brings a soothing yet vibrant feel to the room when the sun shines through. My grandmother decorated with turquoise, & I think her good taste was passed down to me. I'm starting to lean towards Mediterranean-style, boho-eccentric with my decor, perfect for Spring! Recently found your blog, love it!
