I found a cute little picture that I thought would make a great mini chalkboard. I didn’t even take the back off. I just painted the frame with one coat of white paint and then painted 3 coats of chalkboard paint directly over the picture! Out of this world EASY! It’s darling!

Too funny! I just did the same thing last night with a round picture frame I found at a thrift store. I painted the frame red to go with my kitchen and the backing of the picture frame with chalkboard paint! Love it!

I just painted the back of an old mirror frame w/hot pink chalkboard paint that comes in a small jar from JoAnn's for my daughter's room. I used a sponge brush for the 1st coat and then a bristle brush for the 2nd. The problem is that I can see the brush strokes so no smooth finish. Did you use a roller brush to paint your frame?
