In today’s economy…who doesn’t want something free? Being that it’s my birthday month and that I love Halloween…I’m giving you a chance to win this ugly apron! I say “ugly” because the orange in the gingham doesn’t match the orange in the embroidered “boo yall.” I was going to keep it, but I was feeling all generous & giving. Strike while the iron’s hot!
I just loooove halloween and my affection has only grown with age! Our favorite halloween tradition is making halloween cookies and decorating them with all kinds of colored icings & sprinkles! I bought some new cookie cutters last year at the after-halloween sale at Target!
So if you want this ugly apron…to enter this giveaway…just leave a comment saying what your favorite halloween tradition is. The winner will be chosen by random number generator. The deadline will be Thursday night…so I can get it off in the mail on Friday. Want to make sure you have it for halloween night to pass out all those yummy treats!
Note: At this time, I cannot ship internationally…unless it’s an APO (US military) address…sorry…
We just started a tradition this year of carving pumpkins and making pumpkin pies. Not sure if it can be considered a tradition if it is the first year, but you know. 😉
What a cute apron……I think I could make that work!>Suzanne
Black and orange sprinkled cupcakes each and every year!
Oh how cute!!>>Our tradition has to be going to the pumpkin patch and searching for that PERFECT pumpkin!!! – We also make some fun cookies too!!>>Happy Fall!>~Tidymom
Whatever…..I like your version of ugly!!!! I would love this ol’ ugly thing! Each year we have a Jesus Fest at our church to celebrate fall and Harvest and Halloween. The whole community comes and it is a blast!

My Husband, my sister and I all like to dress up like some type of family and go out around the town. Like we dressed up like “the Brady’s, The Munsters”, and this year we haven’t decided yet! >>I love the apron!
Ohhh..I was so excited to see you pop up on my GoogleReader. You’re so fun!!!>>>My favorite Halloween tradition is making muffins in cute Halloween muffin cups then decorating them and taking them to our neighbors. We haven’t done it yet this year..but the ingredients are waiting patiently for us.>>Tiff>>P.s. If you’re bummed that you can’t participate in your own contest and really want one to do so in…hop on over and visit. Our first contest is almost over.
First of all, Halloween is my fav holiday too! We go all out decorating the house.>>On Halloween night, I make a pot of chili (my moms started this when I was a kid), then take my munchkin T or T'ing, then we come home & start a fire in the fire pit in the frontyard & give away candy & eat chili. Yummy.
I don’t think I would call that ugly! It is so cute!! 🙂 My favorite tradition is is our pumpkin carving contest and just seeing all the kids come trick or treating.
I found your blog through Nester too. I’m glad – you are so crafty! I love this apron – pick me, pick me!!!>>We never really had a Halloween tradition growing up, but since this is the first Halloween where my daughter will actually “get it” a little bit (she’s not quite two) I hope to start a few traditions of our own.
My in-laws always invite us over the night before to carve pumpkins and we eat pizza. So far, I think our only tradition can be dressing our children in coordinating costumes: last year they were the princess and the pea. This year they will be a couple of clowns.
That’s adorable! Thanks for giving me a heads up 🙂 We do the pumpkin patch thing every year and I even make my son a ghost shirt with “boo y’all” on it…I totally need this apron now! Great job.>>-Hayley
Our tradition is to go out to eat, kids pick on Halloween. Since we live in Europe, we have a Fall Festival with all the other expats and the kids get to go through the offices and get candy from the people working in them. It is fun. We also make pumpkin cookies and do tons of Halloween crafts.>>My husband will be in the States for two weeks and can get the apron if I win… if it is sent to my dad’s… I would LOVE it… a little taste of home.
We drive to a neighborig town to go on the pumpkin train every year. There’s a small haunted houe, and the train ride is along a route with a bunch of lighted displays, a tunnel of doom, and a stop in the middle of a pumkin patch so everyone can pick a little pumpkin. Our son loves it.
My favorite tradition is a rather new one. We dress up for our trunk or treat at church. We are sort of competitive about it with the other people at church. 🙂
Love the apron and it’s my birthday month, too, so I hope I win!! One of my favorite traditions is that my daughter draws out on paper what they face of our Jack-O-Lantern will look like and then we use that to carve it. It’s very fun and she looks forward to it every year.
Our favorite tradition is that we have an adult costume party and everybody dresses up. Gives us all a chance to have a great time and act a silly once a year!
Love the apron. We eat chili with friends and then go treating!!
My favorite Halloween tradition is our Spooky Supper. It is actually my bff’s family tradition that they have included us on over the years. Spooky food rocks! 🙂
DArling, darling, darling- nothing ugly about it at all! My favorite tradition is “Booing” our neighbors. You make up a bag of goodies (candy, pencils, etc.) and then ring the doorbell of your neighbor- then RUN! So fun… Lori
Love the apron! Our favorite thing to do during the month of October is “Ghost Walks.” They are fun and full of history!
your apron is so, so cute! our favorite halloween tradition is making homemade chili and cornbread, taking the kids trick or treating, and then waiting on trick or treaters at our house. we always seem to end up with a ton of parents at our house at the end of the night. i think we must have the best treats!
It’s kinda cute actually. Please enter me to your giveaway! 🙂
What a cute apron! My favorite Halloween tradition is going over to our friends’ house to trick or treat. Jill and I take the kids door to door and the 2 guys stay at the house and hand out candy. We always have a great time!
Fun! I love the whole Halloween season: ghost stories, costumes, going to the pumpkin patch, decorating the house. One of my favorite things: roasting pumpkin seeds while listening to classic spooky stories from the radio.
We always sit out on the porch and give out candy to the hundreds of kids that walk by. It is really like a parade. We live in an historic district where the houses are very close together and near the downtown area so we get a lot of kids from other neighborhoods as well as our own. It’s really fun – til the candy runs out!>Dawn
I get together on Halloween Day with my brothers and sisters in law and we carve INSANE pumpkins. We usually have a theme- last year was Harry Potter- so we had about 8 pumpkins of the most important characters (got the patterns off the internet). Then we set them up next to a TV playing the movie (of our chosen theme). >ALong with regular trick or treaters, people come to our house specifically to see the pumpkins.
When our kids were young we lived in a neighborhood that was so easy to walk that kids were literally brought by the busloads to walk our tract for Halloween. We had to resort to finding the least expensive per unit treats we could each year because we would have visitors by the hundreds. And because we had the neighborhood kids that our own children played with daily, we got in the habit of making up special bags of full sized candy bars and treats for the kids that actually lived on our street. Our kids loved choosing the candies, making up the treat bags and then delivering them.>>When we moved to the middle of nowhere we were stunned that no one comes to our door on Halloween, we’d never even thought of that possibility. But we have continued the tradition of making up special bags of treats and we drive to our neighbors and ring the doorbell, yell “Trick or Treat” when it is opened and we provide the treats for their kids! Blessings, Shay
Our favorite tradition is carving the pumpkin. The boys work on that with their daddy. I’m usually snapping pictures or toasting the pumpkin seeds!
This will be my first halloween married so I am starting a new tradition with my husband and I. I bought all kinds of cute fall/halloween cookie cutters and we are going to make sugar cookies and decorate them all cute. We may even take a stab at carving a pumpkin 😉
I love going pumpkin picking with my kids…we have a farmers market that does a hayride, and then you pick the pumpkin from the field. Love it! Its a great family adventure! >I also love taking long walks in the woods with the kids and my hubby. I just came across your blog and I am thrilled that I can come back and see what else you come up with! I would love the “UGLY” apron. I have been wanting a halloween apron, just haven’t found one that is cute enough-this fits the bill!>We have a halloween dinner with the whole fam. I have done this since I was little. We eat chili out of a bowl that is shaped like a skull and eat of halloween mugs. One of the mugs is special-because who ever eats out of this gets a prize. When we were little, it was just a special treat, now that we are all big-$25 gift certificate! We love it and halloween would not be the same without out! I am still trying to come up more fun traditions for my girls!!
we choose the pumpkins from the local pumpkin patch, carve it according to what the kids want (happy, scary, sad etc…) and then roast & salt the pumpkin seeds!>>micaela6955 at msn dot com
OMG there is nothing ugly about that cutie!!! I Love it!!!>Our favorite tradition is to set up all of our decor the 1st of Oct. Then every night we light everything up from our tea light lanterns to each individual sign. We then invite all of our friends over from the neighborhood, and have a goulish party, with spooky eats, and booishly good treats. We decorate cupcakes and cookies with all of our fun halloween confections!!! My girls LOVE it!
Hello! I don't think your apron is ugly at all and I would be happy to wear it at my Halloween party! My favorite Halloween tradition is to go to the pumkin patch and get a caramel apple- i'm not ready for Halloween until that happens!! Also I like to eat some (most) of the candy my kids bring home- I know, I'm terrible! They're really young now (2 & 4)and one day they'll be big enough to pig out but until then… :o)>~Rachel
Precious apron! Hmm, favorite Halloween tradition. When I was a child, my mother would dress up as a witch for Halloween. She would rat her hair and chase my sister and I around the house. Funny that back-combing and Aqua Net could create such vivid memories!

I can’t wait to have children so we can have fun times with Halloween sprinkles and cookies!! In the meantime, I stick with pumpkin bread and homemade apple crisp, and would love to don your creative apron while making these fabulous desserts.
Last year we started a new tradition by making a halloween house (like a gingerbread house)- the kids loved it.>I’d love to win the “ugly” apron (isn’t that an oxymoron? no such thing as an ugly apron).>Thanks!
Last year we started a tradition of doing a hayride/trick or treating ride. A friend of ours pulls a trailer full of hay bales (and chairs for us adults) with his 4 wheeler and we go trick or treating in style.. yeah, I know it sounds redneck but it was fun and the kids loved it.

I dress for halloween and run the Trail of Treaters in our little town with our nephew. Loads of fun.>>http://yelowflowersgarden.blogspot.com/
This may be the prettiest version of ugly I have ever seen! It’s not a huge tradition, but every year since our oldest’s first Halloween I take a picture of the boy’s with my hubby from behind while they are trick-or-treating to see how much they have grown every year.
I love taking pictures while my son and husband carve the Jack-o-lantern.
I love making cookies and treats as a tradition as well. I’m planning to make some funky cupcakes this year and your ‘not so ugly’ apron would be perfect!
We have a tradition that worked when my kids were younger…We would trick or treat come bck home pick out our 10 favorite treats. The rest of the candy went on the front porch for the ‘Halloween fairy.’ This I suppose saved many a belly ache and cavities…Although mom and dad didn’t need the additional calories!
The pumpkin patch…. my husband helps the kids carve the pumpkins and I roast the seeds……. Trick or treating with the same four families every year….. pizza for the kids, chilli for the parents…. neighborhood haunted house…… I can’t pick just one!
I just recently found your blog…you are one talented lady! Your aprons are too cute for words.>Our favorite tradition is hosting a big ol’ Halloween Party for our small immediate family of 28 and a few close friends! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It’s my Bday month too! And, October just happens to be my FAVORITE season and month of the year. My favorite Halloween tradition is going to the pumpkin patch. I know this is hard to believe, BUT I NEVER went to a patch before DD. My first visit was when she was 6 months old (4 years ago) and we have been every single year thereafter, most years 2-4 times a season!
On Halloween morning, I give my kids a new trick or treat bag filled with a few things. Sometimes it’s a new shirt or some socks. But always a new flashlight and a book. >>Cute apron!!!
