Ok…I guess I’ll join the masses. I feel like I lost a month of summer…oh…I did! In England in the middle of the summer, it wasn’t as warm as it is right now! Anyhoo…just thought I’d share a couple of fallish crafty things I’ve done in the past. I’ll share more when we get it all out and about. I dragged the ‘fall’ boxes out of the attic today…so we are well on our way!
I bought everything at Michael’s…the small fake pumpkin, a black paint pen, and boa trim. Hot glue the boa trim around the stem at the top. Then for the monogram…I print out the letter backwards on my computer, turn the paper over onto the pumpkin and use a pencil to transfer it. Just kinda color on the back of the letter until it is transferred. To print the letter backwards, go into control panel, then printer, then printer preference, then click mirror image for t-shirt transfer. Just make sure to change it back to normal when you’re done…so your husband isn’t printing his checks backwards. Not that it’s ever happened to me or anything! Then use your paint pen to trace and color in the letter. Tahdah! I use this small pumpkin inside on my entry table.
I bought the galvanized bucket at Home Depot. I hot glued the ribbon around the bucket. Then I printed the letter out normally (not backwards) on cardstock. I cut the letter out with an exacto knife and used it as a stencil & kinda traced it on and then colored it in with the black paint pen. I put my mums in it outside on the front porch. As you can see, I have no mums yet.
Are you on monogram overload yet? Let me know if you try it, I’d love to see pics. Also, pop over to the inspired room…she is celebrating fall nesting & has dedicated this week to it. There are lots of great ideas over there!

I've been holding onto this post for nearly a year in anticipation of the chance to do it this fall. My big question is: What font is this? I'm a fontaholic and I can't find this one. I love it! Can you share the name of it? Please say it's free!
I LOVE your blog and I love this idea. I, along with Darren would love to know what font this one is. It is absolutely perfect.
Thanks for the info.
